What is Classical:Next?
Classical:NEXT is a new, international professional forum for classical and art music, which will take place for the first time at Gasteig, Munich from 30 May to 02 June 2012. It is planned as an annual event that aims to unite the international art music community. The event's structure consists of 3 sections – showcases, conference and expo: showcases will present artists and productions in a series of short concerts or video screenings. Conferences will offer presentations, seminars, think tanks, mentoring, matchmaking and other formats. The expo functions as a showplace for companies and institutions as well as offering meeting points for all delegates. Classical:NEXT is initiated by CLASS, produced by WOMEX and supported by the Department of Arts and Culture of the City of Munich.
How can I contact other delegates?
Our online networking tool, C:N NET, is still under construction. Until it is completed, we ask you to contact other delegates via the information listed on their websites WHO-IS-COMING.
What is C:N Net?
C:N NET is the online platform for classical & art music. Think of it as a trade fair on the internet, open the whole year round. All registered delegates of Classical:NEXT 2012 will get a C:N NET account for one year for free. The information regarding each account will be sent to the e-mail address indicated with the registration to Classical:NEXT. When the account's validity runs out, an e-mail warning that it is about to expire will be sent together with an invitation to register for the next Classical:NEXT. A C:N NET account allows its owner to present her company, her team and herself through the internet to the Classical:NEXT network, and also trade online as well as publish her services, products and requests to the other participants. C:N NET provides an easy-to-use interface - no extensive technical knowledge or web mastery is necessary. At that time, C:N NET is still under construction. Until it is completed, we ask you to contact other delegates via the information listed on their websites. WHO-IS-COMING

Is there any discount?
Classical:NEXT is a "strictly no guest list" event. To keep the costs as low as possible for everybody the registration fees are equal for all delegates. The only exceptions are discounts granted to everybody for early registration as well as a media rate for journalists. Conference speakers and showcase artists receive free registrations.
Is there a special rate for journalists?
Yes, our "media rate"! With this discount Classical:NEXT acknowledges the special role of journalists in the dissemination of classical music and in the discoursive process around this special art form. Furthermore, free press registrations can be granted to journalists who report on the Classical:NEXT itself to a relevant degree and are able to verify this (e.g. by confirmation of their editors).
How can I propose to be part of the program?
We welcome everybody to join us and become an active part of Classical:NEXT. Together, we can develop Classical:NEXT into a mutually beneficial forum and the premier annual industry event. All you have to do is to fill in the showcase or conference application form. An independent jury of experts will make the final selections for the program. All invited Classical:NEXT conference speakers and showcase artists will be registered free of charge.
What are the stand facilities?
The stand size is 2 x 3 m and includes one table and four chairs per stand. Gasteig offers power supply to each trade fair stand. Umbrella stands are possible.
What is an umbrella stand?
If you want to share a stand with other companies, you can buy a stand and be the main owner of it. The other componies can pay you money for participation, but this is your own responsibility. Classical:NEXT just offers a trade fair stand to one owner at full cost.
