The polyphonic ensemble A Filetta is one of Corsica's leading singing groups. Founded in 1978, this formation, whose main objective was to participate in the preservation of the island's oral heritage, has largely opened up to the outside world whilst staying anchored in its homeland. The group is characterised by an inventiveness that is continually renewed and by exacting performances. The singers have absolutely no feeling of being the sentinels or guardians of some temple or sanctuary. Identity cannot be decreed, does not let itself be organised and does not project itself; it develops in the breath of men…

Their 38 years of existence have been rich in experiences and encounters, in theatrical productions, film music and dance creations which have stimulated the group's creativity and enriched its repertoire
• Film scores: many productions with Bruno Coulais (Himalaya, The Winged Migration, Don Juan…).
• Music: Mistico Mediterraneo and Dance Memory, Dance with Paolo Fresu (trumpet) and Daniele di Bonaventura (bandoneon); Conversation(s) with Fadia Tomb El-Hage; collaborations with the amazing drummers of Kodo (Japan), with Danyel Waro.
• Theatre: Seneca's Medea, Marco Polo, Culomba, Don Ghjuvanni, opera with children, etc.
• Contemporary dance: with the choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui (In Memoriam with the Ballets de Monte Carlo, Apocrifu at the Théâtre de la Monnaie in Bruxelles, and Puz/zle in 2012, especially created for the Festival d’Avignon).
