Theatrum Affectuum, founded in 2003, specialises in music from 17th and 18th century. Using the combination of recorder, one or two violins, cello and harpsichord, the ensemble has an individual and energetic approach to performing baroque music. Press reviews have described the ensemble’s interpretations as both profound and witty.
Ensemble leader Andreas Boehlen, also a jazz-saxophon player, incorporates a wide array of historical improvisation into every concert program.
Contact the ensemble through Aulos Music Management (Classical Next stand 26-27).
