The mission of the Foundation is to empower individuals, facilitate innovative outcomes for institutions and increase knowledge and understanding in the search for practical and novel solutions. It encourages creativity and artistry, and ensures Jewish heritage, memory and a vibrant Jewish future in Israel and the diaspora.
The Foundation funds institutions as well as operates programs on the ground, supporting scientific and medical research, higher education, youth empowerment and school perseverance, architecture, the arts, Holocaust education and quality of life initiatives for people with developmental disabilities.
The Azrieli Foundation take a strategic interest in supporting the development of music as a vital human endeavour that expresses creativity, intelligent thought and intercultural understanding as motivating forces to shape a better world. In particular, the Foundation encourages the creation and performance of Jewish Music and the professional development of emerging professional artists by investing in organizations and initiatives.
The Azrieli Foundation is a federally registered Canadian foundation, established according to the regulations of the Income Tax Act of Canada and subject to review by the Canada Revenue Agency.
