Federico Altare was born in Turin, Italy, the 27th of May 1997. The first approach with music came with Choral activity, in 2005. Then he progressed with Flute private lesson, to finally get to the conservatory in 2014, and to Codarts (Rotterdam) in 2016.
Federico started to study flute privately in 2008 with maestri Gregorio Tuninetti and Danilo Putrino. He got admitted in Novara’s “Guido Cantelli” Conservatory in 2014, where he followed the teaching of Gianni Biocotino. He finally moved to Rotterdam after getting admitted in the flute class of Juliette Hurel, Julie Moulin and Wim Steinmann. He made his soloist debut in 2018 with the challenging Jolivet 2nd flute concerto with the Codarts ensemble, and he frequently gets to perform chamber music programmes in halls like De Doelen, Muziekgebow Eindhoven, Auditorium Giuseppe Verdi (Torino) and Auditorium Fratelli Olivieri (Novara)
Federico Altare always looked for the most diverse work out of his music profession: from solo works (from baroque to contemporary music), duo with pianist Cecilia Apostolo, Chamber music (Quartetto Ars Nova, Trio Ketting) and orchestral experience (Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale del Sistema Italia, Codarts Symphony Orchestra, Pequeñas Huellas International Orchestra).
