Kasia Świętochowska

chief strategy officer / onstage mobile app

A cultural producer, classically-trained cellist, currently works for the Julian Cochran Foundation – an organisation aiming to create cutting-edge solutions for culture and change the perception of classical music by embracing innovative technologies.

As a co-founder of the ONSTAGE mobile app, she is responsible for the development strategy of this game-changing solution for the classical music world. ONSTAGE enables audiences in the venue to use their smartphones and watch from up-close what is happening on the stage in real time. The app allows both experienced and new listeners to be closer to artists: to analyse the movements and facial expressions of the conductor or to follow the virtuosity of soloists – bringing a truly immersive perspective to live music events.

Before joining the Foundation, Kasia gained vast experience in implementing international cultural initiatives working for the Adam Mickiewicz Institute: I, CULTURE Orchestra – an ensemble of young musicians from Poland and Eastern Partnership Countries; and the Polska Music Programme which supports performances of Polish classical music by renowned artists worldwide.

Kasia is one of the founders of the Automatophone Foundation where she participates in creating a 3-year project involving Deaf Warsaw community – an initiative culminating with the premiere of “Opera for the Deaf” in Studio Theatre, Warsaw.

She is an alumna of the Aspen Young Leaders Programme.
