Born in Gravina in Puglia on May 24th, 1981, she started studying piano at the age of 7 and composed her first pieces when she was 9. In 2003 she graduated in piano from the ‘Nino Rota’ Academy of Music in Monopoli (BA) where her teacher was Gabriella Bassi. She also studied composition with Vito Liturri, Marco Della Sciucca, Cinzia Cannito and Vincenzo Anselmi.
She has followed several advanced courses in piano, piano duet playing and chamber music, where her teachers have been Konstantin Bogino, Alessandro Moccia, Paolo Bordoni, Bernadette Tripodi, Carlo Forni, Loredana Paolicelli. She has also attended jazz workshops with Roberto Spadoni, Luca Bragalini, Pietro Tonolo, Davide Santorsola, Roberto Ottaviano, Rita Marcotulli, and Bebo Ferra.
She has won several awards. In December 2010 for her piece “Indesiderabile Tenerezza” she won the prize for composition given by IFBPW (International Federation of Business and Professional Women) of Barletta, obtaining both the jury and spectator prizes.
She has performed in many recitals and theatrical shows (including “Voce ‘e notte” with the soprano Mariagrazia Pani, the tenor Marcello Recca and Giorgio Aldini as speaker) and concert seasons (with the “La Bottega dell’Armonia” Youth Orchestra) as pianist, composer and arranger.
In May 15th, 2011 she directed the musical project “Fluide Risonanze” in the “Auditorium Diocesano Vallisa” in Bari, as the composer, arranger and player of her own pieces for quartet with Flavio Maddonni (violin), Antonio Barracchia (cello) and Elisa Benedetto (flute).
From 2003 to 2004, she worked as the resident pianist at the “San Domenico” in Savelletri where she met Klemens Fischler, who produced her first CD for piano solo “Volo di Gabbiani”, a collection of pieces composed between the ages of eleven to eighteen (issued in 2005).
In January 2007 she made her debut in the Foyer of the Eliseo Theater in Rome, playing in a jazz trio with Roberto Scillitani (bass), Lorenzo Nicoletti (drums) and Ettore Lopinto (special guest saxophone), with a tribute to the great Michel Petrucciani.
On numerous occasions, she has worked with disc jockeys and musicians in a variety of groups and in different styles, ranging from classical to pop and jazz music. She is the accompanist for the French actress Ève Guerrier, for the “Hope Jubilee Singers” gospel choir, and the “Ottavio De Lillo” classic choir conducted by Bepi Speranza.
From 2003 to 2008, she taught piano at the ”Accademia Musicale Gravinese” music school in Gravina (Bari).
She currently teaches classical piano for “L’Arpeggione” school (Gravina) and modern piano for “Centro Musica Euterpe” in Capurso (Bari).
