biography

After a History degree, studying the politic impact of the baroque opera libretti, Pedro-Octavio Diaz begins working as a booking manager with baroque ensembles as Les Cyclopes (Bibiane Lapointe & Thierry Maeder) and Les Paladins (Jérôme Correas), the he worked as a promoter in the contemporary music with composers such as Sebastian Rivas, Carol Robinson and Claire Renard. After these experiences he co-founded the artistic management agency L'Atelier and he worked as a promotion consultant with artists such as Ophélie Gaillard & Pulcinella, Academia Montis Regalis, Il Gusto Barocco. Since 2015 he works with David Stern & Opera Fuoco as astistic advisor, where he works with the artistic director constructing the seasons and the programs such as the latest CD program: "Berenice che fai?" (Aparté, 2017). He also works as a freelance with Gyorgy Vashegyi & Orfeo Zenekar/Purcell Choir (Hungary), Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik (Austria), Musikfestspiele Potsdam-Sanssouci (Germany).
He is actually constructing concert and CD programs for Les Muffatti ( concert Valer Sabadus & Terry Wey in Brussels BOZAR), PARNASSUS (CD programs for Sophie Junker and Jake Arditti).
Pedro-Octavio Diaz is deputy editor in chief of Classiquenews.com, journalist for PROOPERA Mexico and vice-president of the international press network Presse Musicale Internationale (IMC/UNESCO).
