Founded by the french pianist Françoise Thinat, since 1994, the international piano competition of Orléans (France) brings the piano repertoire of the 20th and 21st centuries to a consistently growing audience, reveals the talent of young artists and follows them from the beginning and throughout their carrier.

Applicants from all over the world
40 candidates accepted
3 finalists,
40 premieres
1 compulsory piece world-premiered during the finale,
120.000€ of prizes (Prizes, a CD recording, concerts and tours),
7 distinguished jury members from the music world.

Several foundations and associations devoted to the recognition of a great composer or to the highlighting of the glorious 20th and 21st centuries repertoire joined OCI by granting a prize or participating to the operating budget.

The international piano competition of Orléans is also a non-profit organization closely linked to the initiatives taken since 1989, the birth of the competition concept. Faithfulness, loyalty and an imaginative energy are harnessed for various events.
Officially recognized, the association is allowed to issue fiscal receipts for any donations.
