Catimbau is an experimental short, drawn as sensorial experience at a natural preservation park in northeast Brazil called Vale do Catimbau, in the state of Pernambuco. Cosmo Grão composed a unique soundtrack inspired by the national park which was subsequently played back on location by Lucas Caminha and his film team. This is a film about how a place can both inspire and be inspired by music.
Thais Vidal, the producer, will be present for a Q&A session after the screening.
