Meet the new World Music School of Helsinki, with an innovative teaching and financial model. For lack of a common idiom, which often hinders the communication between immigrants and locals or even between shy and outspoken people, music is the universal language.

Music is also the Dionysian, emotional side, self-forgetting in which the self gives way to a primal unity, one culture and one consensual beat. Music must thus be taught in that same spirit and along the same encouragement as we teach language to our children.

Find out how we do it. Find out why, how and what we can achieve by mixing experts with beginners, by using traditional dance music events and by financing students’ lessons.
