Marek Staszewski (Poland), ZPAV

In this session, we want to discuss the characteristics, similarities and differences of these three important European music markets from the economic, the political and the legal points of view. We will take a look at what particular challenges each one of the markets faces, also taking into account consumer data where available. And, of course, we will talk about the European copyright reform and about the value gap from the Polish, the French and the German perspectives. The title refers to the political concept of the 'Weimar Triangle', a grouping of ‎Poland, Germany and France established in Weimar in 1991 to foster co-operation between the three countries. The foreign ministers and ministers for European affairs of the three countries meet regularly in this constellation to discuss current political issues and specific areas of foreign and European policy.
