The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation supports efforts to facilitate access to the Swiss music market for artists from developing countries, in line with the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions. The SüdKulturFonds funding programme entitled “Touring in Switzerland for emerging artists” is aimed at agencies and tour managers who wish to bring upcoming artists from the Global South to Switzerland. The programme pays for international travel and subsistence expenses. The panel will present the conditions for a SüdKulturFonds grant, provide insight into the club and festival scene in Switzerland and discuss the prerequisites for the successful organisation of a tour.
