Jennifer Dautermann majored in classical music performance with a minor in studio photography at the Interlochen Arts Academy and the University of Michigan School of Music with parallel professional engagements at institutions such as the Michigan Opera Theater and the Ohio Light Opera Company. After graduation she concentrated on medium and large format studio photography, first as an instructor's assistant at New York City's International Center of Photography as well as a freelance studio and print development assistant. After moving to Berlin, Jennifer dedicated herself to project management and administrative assistance in the British Council's Arts and Creative Industries department for over seven years. In 2009, she independently initiated and realized the first C3 Festival (Club Contemporary Classical), a showcase for contemporary music mixing elements of new classical and electronica which took place at Berlin's renowned Berghain club. C3 2011 was expanded to 3 cities in 2 countries (Berlin, Essen, Gdansk) and was supported by the German Federal Cultural Foundation (www.c3festival.com). In 2011, she became the founding Director of Classical:NEXT.
