Via Artis Konsort is an international Early Music ensemble with an innovative repertoire, exploring the musical borderland of early classical music and related world music traditions.
The ensemble, formed by skilled musicians from different European countries, has offered more than 400 concerts, musico-dramatic performances and recitals worldwide since its foundation in 2006.
Via Artis Konsort has released three critically acclaimed albums. Currently the ensemble is preparing a new multimedia production based on on their latest stage production "Escarramán", which combines Baroque music with a projected comics series. This unconventional" Opera Comics" was premiered in February 2016 with the support of the Danish Arts Foundation.
Via Artis Konsort is also working in the line of creating innovative forms of performance. September 2017 the ensemble premiered the site-responsive performance 'Hesbjerg revisited', a one hour long musico-dramatic piece performed in different rooms at an abandoned castle. The performance also directly involved the audience, who filmed their impression with cellphones and small cameras. The outcome, a short movie titled "Hesbjerg revisited by Via Artis Konsort" is curated for a pitch at Classical:Next 2018.
