Dear classical music lovers,

The deadline to send us your Showcase, Conference and Video Showcase proposal is just around the corner. If you are looking to take part in Classical:NEXT 2015, taking place in Rotterdam, the Netherlands from 20 - 23 May, don't forget to send us your proposal by Friday, 26 September.

Once all the proposals are in, our newly-confirmed Jury for 2015 will meet to decide upon the final programme. Who'll be making the programme selection for next year? Read on to find out!

Classical:next 2015 jury announcement

Each year, the Classical:NEXT programme is selected by those in the know: members of the broader classical and art music community who bring years of expertise and insight into the cultural and arts sector to the table. We have once again called upon five esteemed members of the community to select next year's programme. Presenting the Jury for Classical:NEXT 2015!

 

 

  • Etienne Abelin (Switzerland) – classYcal / Superar Suisse
  • Heloísa Fischer (Brazil) – VivaMusica!
  • Neil Wallace (UK/the Netherlands) – De Doelen
  • Rainer Kahleyss (Germany) – Klassik Center Kassel / CLASS e.V.
  • Jane Williams (UK) - London Symphony Orchestra / Guildhall School of Music & Drama

This new, international and independent Jury will analyse every Showcase, Conference and Video Showcase proposal we receive to select the programme for our fourth edition. Each representing a different country and sector of the classical music scene, our jury will guarantee a varied and multi-faceted programme.

reminder: call for proposals deadline approaching

Interested in sending us a proposal for Classical:NEXT 2015? There's still time but you'll need to be quick. The deadline for proposal submission Friday, 26 September.

This is your chance to present your project to the who's who of the classical and art music community. Proposals can be in one of our three categories, 'Live Showcases', 'Video Showcases & Project Pitches' and 'Conference Sessions', with our just-announced Jury making the final selection.

If you know of people out there with great ideas, fresh approaches and unusually effective methodologies, please encourage them to submit. Classical:NEXT is a community effort and the excellence of its content depends on the active participation. So please, help spread the word and make the 2015 edition of Classical:NEXT the best it can be, for the benefit of all.

Last call for applications for ISPA's Regional Fellowship Programs!

Until September 15, ISPA, the International Society for the Performing Arts will be accepting applications for the following Leadership Development Programmes:

  • –Global Fellowships (open to leaders from all regions of the globe)
  • –Scottish Regional Fellowships (open to Scottish leaders)
  • –Swedish Regional Fellowships (open to Swedish leaders)

The Fellowship Programmes facilitate emerging and mid-career leaders' participation in the ISPA network by providing them with financial support to join the ISPA membership and attend the New York 2015 ISPA Congress.
