Artur Pizarro and Rinaldo Zhok met as a result of their solo recordings for the Odradek label. In April 2014 they came to the decision that their interests in piano duo and duet should be brought together and the current duo was born. Artur's initial contact with the piano was due to his maternal grandmother's piano duo, Berta da Nóbrega and Campos Coelho. He then went on to perform and record with his own teacher, Sequeira Costa and other colleagues, Stephen Coombs, António Rosado and Vita Panomariovaite. Rinaldo Zhok studied with, among others, the piano duo Yaara Tal and Andreas Groethuysen in Munich and previously performed in a duo with Cristina Santin. Since the very recent beginning of this duo, Artur and Rinaldo have performed in recital at the Teatro Municipal Baltazar Dias in Funchal, and the Belém Cultural Center in Lisbon and performed with the Orquestra de Câmara Portuguesa, conducted by Pedro Carneiro, the Orquestra Clássica da Madeira conducted by Pedro Andrade and were invited to participate in the inaugural concert of the Orquestra Sinfónica de Cascais conducted by Nikolay Lalov. Their performances have been recorded by RDP Antena 2, Portugal's State Classical Broadcasting Station.
This CD dedicated to works of Dvořák is the duo's début commercial recording.
