This interactive workshop will cover three areas
1) No One Reads Press Releases Anymore: Now What?
It’s crowded out there: how do you get the media’s attention? What are they looking for, and what makes them resist opening up your email or press materials?
This session is intended to reach performers, small and large ensembles and those who heroically support them, including managers, institutions, Public Relations professionals and other communication specialists.
2) Artist Statements
Can you tell a Booker, Conductor and Venue Presenter who you are, what you do, what you stand for and what kind of artist you are?
Can you do it in 30 seconds?
3) Your Bio
Is your artist bio an impressive list of accomplishments, places where you've performed and ensembles with whom you have collaborated?
Or, is it a story or narrative? Everyone has a compelling story to tell.
