What kind of skills, besides artistic talent, do young musicians need to succeed? How can conservatories provide them with these skills through their curriculum, while also giving special assistance to the extraordinary young talents in starting their careers? What is the role of agencies in helping young talents? How do they assume their role of intermediary between artists and music programmers? What are the consequences of the mismanagement of an artist, based on an inaccurate profile? What is the role of concert halls in programming and promoting young talents?
Innovative programming, extra investment in promotion, risk taken versus long term investment: unknown names may equal future stars who are still easily available. These issues will be tackled on the basis of the experience of a young and successful artist, the Impresariat Simmenauer and the Artist Management of Liszt Academy.
