with Françoise Clerc (France), director classical & zazz, Le Bureau Export

Trade fairs, conferences and showcase festivals are important platforms for music organisations to present their country's music scene and support the professionals in building their networks. How are we succeeding? What are the strategies and practices used? Do the professionals benefit from these music organisations' efforts? As an example we look at Classical:NEXT and share our experiences. France was the focus country at Classical:NEXT 2018, coordinated by Le Bureau Export. One year later is a fitting moment to ask - how did it go? The session begins with a short presentation from Francoise Clerc from Le Bureau Export about the impressions, impacts and results one year later. Then, after articulating the questions and challenges, the session continues as a group dialogue where all export organisations are invited to share their experiences.
