François Daudin-Clavaud, Michel Boizot and Xavier Saint-Bonnet created The Ensemble Souffle Nomade - Trio d'Argent in 1984.
In 1985, the Trio was the winner of one of the Yehudi-Menuhin Foundation Prizes and gave concerts in prestigious concert halls and festivals as well as in more unusual places.
The trio’s career was international from the beginning; they travelled around the world and over the past thirty-five years, the trio has given over 1 500 concerts.
Since 1993, they have been developing a new concept of scenography for their concerts including sound and light design. This essential element in their evolution takes form through the development of the projects they encountered in terms of aesthetics and through the building of bridges to other artistic disciplines - plastic arts, circus, dance, theatre…
The Ensemble has now about one hundred pieces of very diverse aesthetics, especially written for them by in France Luc Ferrari, Ton That Thiet, Bernard de Vienne, Gualtiero Dazzi, Thierry Pécou, Alexandros Markeas, Bruno Letort, Stéphane Magnin, Suzanne Giraud, Tao Yu, Claire-Mélanie Sinnhuber… and abroad, Mario Lavista, Gabriela Ortiz, Marcela Rodriguez, Ana Lara…
Attentive to the links to establish with all the types of public, the Ensemble proposes different artistic actions such as residencies with Music Schools…
