Tania Naranjo grew up in Santiago, Chile. Early on she came in contact with, and developed a strong passion for, Classical piano and Chilean folk music. Tania is an established concert pianist, singer and composer living in Sweden. She has been touring in Scandinavia and perfomed in International Festivals all over the world in solo concerts, with symphony orchestras and with her own constellations. In Tania’s compositions and her musical expression there is room for a driving rhythm along with creativity and improvisation which can be heard i.e. on her solo album “La industria del miedo “ . Her music is inspired by jazz, Argentine tango, 20th century modern composers and urban Chilean music along with Andean folk music.

Tania is a powerful and versatile artist. She master a big variation of different styles like classical as Bach, Béla Bartók, Chopin, Villa Lobos -contemporary & tango nuevo-worldmusic-opera. She has performed the symphonic music of Astor Piazzolla, Violeta Parra & Theodorakis and lead experimental crossover ensembles like "Orange Tech & Latin Ensemble". She is frequently invited to work with ensembles and to festivals as a composer/ performer. Her invitations has included performances at Liszt Academy together with MAV Szimfonikus Zenekar, Marcelo Nisinman (2003), Axion Esti by Theodorakis Sweden tour (2003), Music by Jorge Arriagada/Malmö Symphony Orchestra (2009) "Summartónar" (Faroes Islands-2012), Auditorio Blas Galindo-Mexiko City (2012) “Palanga- International M.K.Ciurlionis music festival” (Lithuania-2014) Swedish Wind Ensemble (2017)

Tania Naranjo has composed music for theater, film productions and dance companies. Tania was ”Artist in residence” at Circolo Scandinavo di Roma 2016. The same year she performed her music during the first official visit of Chiles President Michelle Bachelet in Sweden and was invited to perform at Chiles National Congress broadcasted live by TV Senado. She is artistic director for a new festival in the south of Sweden, "Piano unlimited".
