An experienced vocalist both at home in East Anglia UK, and in Germany with over 400 choral performances to his name, Hugh has worked with top Anglican and concert choirmasters such as Ralph Allwood MBE, briefly also Ben Parry, Ben Vonberg Clark, Orlando Jopling and Maijke Wiechelt. He is friends with the Thomanerchor Leipzig and knows the assistant cantor and his first love. Hugh is a member of the Classical Next online community in Rotterdam and now wishes to be recognised as a composer, player and singer seeing that as part of an all round musical package. Boasting around 220 works to his name Hugh has published eleven of them in 2 artisan scores known as Piano sonatas 1-5 and Violin Sonatas Volume 1. Being a prolific writer and performance poet also, he is a 4x prize winner and 1x nominee at local level in performing arts including winner of the Ipswich School Singing Cup in 1995 with the aria He was Despised from Handel's Messiah. He is an alumnus of GSMD and HfM Köln Standort Wuppertal. Hugh has done a couple of significant vocal recordings, both in Anglican Choral Music, one at Eton College Chapel in 1995 for BBC World on the In Praise of God Programme on the 3rd and 10th December 1995 (https://www.hwaldock.com/singing-recordings/) with Ralph Allwood MBE, and one as an extra on Hyperion Records Vital Spark of Heavenly Flame published 1998 with Psalmody, Peter Holman MBE and The Parley of Instruments at St Mary's Church Stoke by Nayland, Suffolk UK.
