On Thursday, 21 May 2015 at 18:00 in the Eduard Flipse Zaal, the Danish Arts Foundation presented their off C:N Showcase, highlighting the NEXT talent that Denmark has to offer. The group chosen to represent was:
Newly-formed Danish performance and sound collective We like We is not afraid to step outside of its comfort zone. The Copenhagen-based avant-garde ensemble had its first live performance atop a 1400 tonne diesel engine during Frost Festival 2013 accompanied by renowned Danish pop-art group Efterklang. We like We’s also featured at Wundergrund Festival that same year. Classically-trained, the four musicians are intent on shaping their own sound through jamming and experimentation. Their debut album, A new Age of Sensibility was released in December to rave reviews. In this special off C:N showcase, We like We will perform eight of the 11 songs from their celebrated new CD, which was curated by Danish singer, composer and avant-garde artist Jomi Massage, and explores themes of identity and longing.
Presented by Danish Arts Foundation.
