In this section you will find all the information you need to get a picture of our Classical:NEXT location for 2018, Rotterdam in the Netherlands, which also hosted our 2015, 2016 and 2017 editions.
Based right in the centre between the important French, German and English speaking classical music markets, Rotterdam is easy to reach and offers around 4000 hotel beds in walking distance to the new Classical:NEXT main venue de Doelen in the harbour city’s centre. The Netherlands' capital Amsterdam is only a stone's throw away, as train services offer a max. 40 minutes ride between Rotterdam's and Amsterdam's central stations.
Besides being Europe’s biggest sea port, Rotterdam and Schiphol airport are an intercontinental air hub, which is crucial with attendees coming to Classical:NEXT from more than 40 countries. As the Netherlands' second-largest city, Rotterdam is easy to get to and is directly accessible from 249 cities in 99 countries with 84 airlines, serviced by Rotterdam The Hague Airport and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (25 minutes train journey).
Recently the city has evolved from an insider tip to a hotspot known worldwide.

This year's venue, de Doelen International Congress Centre, is the ideal fit for our Classical:NEXT concept, as it unites an international concert hall and a conference centre in one building. It is also located right in the centre of Rotterdam which makes it easy to reach.
